Observation
The roller blinds are used on a majority of the classroom windows. They use a pull chain system to raise and lower them. The chain is a strangulation hazard if the tether securing the bottom of the loop to the window frame breaks. At least one of the tethers had broken and the chain was forming a hazardous loop. There was a play clothes hanger in the corner of the Rainforest room made of a line of wooden pegs at child's eye level. This licensor gave technical assistance about prevention such as a shelf exceeding the width of the pegs above the pegs would prevent the protrusion hazard should a child fall into the pegs; or perhaps the pegs could also be positioned pointing vertically/upward. The following rooms have lofts with entrapment hazards due to raised spaces that are more than 3.5 inches and less than 9 inches wide: Mountain (ladder); Under the Sea (ladder and railing); Rainforest (corners); Discovery (ladder) and any other such spaces on the lofts that missed the video.
